Import and edit a wma file
I have a 22MB audio file on my hard drive that is about 30 mins long.I wish to edit it to leave 2 small files of about 20 secs.It was an interview that originally was recorded on a voice recorder and I used Win Media Player to get it on my hard drive.I want to have the edited file as part of a project but also would be very grateful to get advice on how to get the file into an email as an attachment.I have win 7 pro,VS X 7 , BT Mail and firefox. What is the best way to achieve what I want.

VideoStudio is really not the best programme to snip bits of an audio file - it can be done if your desperate but you would be much better using an audio editor such as the FREE Audacity editor from :- http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
If you are expecting to add the 22Mb file in one piece you need to know what the maximum attachment allowed by your e-mail provider is - some are 25Mb - many are 20 Mb several are less - - my BT mail allows up to 25Mb but does warn that attachments near that may cause problems if it is necessary to carry out any encoding while sending.
If you cut the sound file to smaller pieces then you just attach them to your e-mail exactly the same as you would any other file.

If you need to deliver the whole 22mb sound file, it would be best to use one of the large file sharing services like wetransfer or upload it to the cloud, such as Onedrive and then share it with the recipient only.

Re: Import and edit a wma file
I have a 25MB attachment limit.I want to make a smiple edit to the audio fie and keep 2 very small files intact, they won't last more than 20 secs altogether. If I do use VS for the edit, I presume I just browse to the files in my project working folder from the email add attachment facility and open them for the attachment
