I use X7 Ultimate SP1 on a Desktop (32bit version, main machine) and a laptop (64bit version, roaming class machine).
I have a project generated on the desktop with titles/text in a letteromatic font. Smart packaging that project to an SDHC card and using it on the laptop, the titles text shows as Tahoma font, and investigation shows that the 64bit version does not have the letteromatic font in its text typefonts list. See image below from the 64bit version on the laptop
How can I get the letteromatic font installed on the 64bit version of X7?
As an aside, one wonders what else is different between versions of the same year model and has snuck under the radar until someone noticed?

The fonts used nu VS are in fact in the Windows font folder. They are not/not part of VS. So I suspect the letteromatic font is not installed on the laptop. You will have to install it there as you would any other font into Windows.

Re: X7 - Letteromatic typefont missing in 64bit
Hi Ken,
Thanks for that. And that was the case - installed on the 32bit desktop but not the 64bit laptop. A quick check of the MS font pages also shows that it is not part of the standard MS product font library but it is in fact a true type font.
Searched the net for the font, found a source, downloaded it and installed on the laptop. Project ran Ok with that font.
This is a learn 'something new everyday' item. I've never played with fonts before and did not even know MS supplied them. So how letteromatic got onto the desktop in the first place is a mystery - but it works . . . .

Some graphics programmes install a number of extra fonts so if you have installed anything to do with graphics or publishing it may have come with that.
There are literally thousands of fonts available which as you have found are easy to download and install - you can even get programmes to make your own fonts - we used to have to do this at work as some companies use a registered and personalised fonts not available to buy on their letterheads and posters etc.

Re: X7 - Letteromatic typefont missing in 64bit
The only new "graphics" program (as opposed to those already installed when I upgraded to windows 7) I have installed lately - as in the last 3-4 years - was Corel Paintshop X6. Be interesting if that program was the vector for the font being installed on the desktop . . . .

I doubt it, David. I had never heard of that particular font till this thread, and I have just checked and don't have it on my computer, so I doubt it is a product of any Corel product...
