psp x6 program download

Post by revmatthew »

If this is posted elsewhere, sorry.
I have X7, but keep X6 on a computer at home. A crash has wiped it out, and I can't find either my download or backup disk. Is there somewhere I can download the program? I have the lic. # of course, just need the install.
Thanks
M.

Did you register your original purchase with Corel nd have an account there.
You can sign in to your account, and on the main page which has 2 coulmns and headings Your Account Information and Your Products.
Scroll down to where it says Your Order Status $ History
Click on See All Orders
Mine go back to January 2012.
Click on the Order Number (X6 was purchased by me in Sept 2013)
Scrolling down you will get a section headed Software Purchased by Download.
You can then redownload your version from there. Back it up a couple of times in different locations.

Alternatively--
I did a goole search on - download trial paintshop pro X6.
This link lead eventually to a trial download of PSP X6
http://corel-paint-shop-pro.soft32.com/free-download/

Click only on the Download Now! ignore any Start Download links as they are only adds.

thank you everyone - Yes I found it using my account on Corel. Purchases there recorded back to 2003.
I got it, and will save it on two sites.
Have a wonderful day.

Hartpaul following your post I came up blank! I have registered products going way back. (Under 'Your Account/Registered Products'). Products and serial numbers are all there. Where is says "See all orders" I have nothing. ??????
The reason I looked was I'm about to buy a new computer and I'm investigating the best way to load my PSPx6 onto the new computer.

For me it looks like copying the original downloaded program and copying in the serial number. Question? Doing this should I first load and install PSPX6_PF then the PSPX6_SP2? Or can I just jump straight to the SP2?

PSPX6_TBYB30.exe was 243232 KB in my case,
PSPX6_PF.exe was 251 216 KB while the SP s were less about 166 xx KB.

I would suggest install your PSPX6_PF and run it and check using the Help and About to see if it already includes SP1 or SP2.
Then you will know if you have to apply any , 1 or both SPs.

Base version is 16.0.0.113
With SP1 is 16.1.0.xx
with SP2 is 16.2.0 .xx

For everyone's info. I purchased a new laptop today. (Black Friday $$$).
i5- 8 gig.

I copied my 'downloaded' PSPx6 file from my old laptop onto a memory stick. (PSPX6_PF.exe).
Pasted it into the Download folder on the new laptop. Double clicked and let it install. Typed in the serial number. All went fine. Then I turned on the internet and started PSPx6. It automatically looked for updates, loaded and installed them. Way too easy. Makes me think why I was stressing so much!!!

But I do have a few niggles. PSPx6 is 'locking up' every now and again. Random no single action causes it. Almost as though PSPx6 has a brain failure and goes and gets a coffee before it moves on. (heh heh heh, One time I did a resize and accidentally typed in 6000% and not 6000 pixels. That sloooooowwwwwed it down somewhat. Hit the 20000 mark!)

Congratulations Brucet. And thats how it should be. I think you also had the advantage of a fresh system.
It seems a number have problems in installing on win7 and have hangs, failures to instal.
I suspect that a lot of it is a problem with their systems as there are so many systems and programs attached.
I have a desktop version of Win 7 and 3 toshiba laptops with win 7 as well. Have installed X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7 on all of them = 24 installs without a problem.
Must be very lucky. Although if there are any problems uninstallig is my last resort.
Have only experienced the bugs reported by so many eg extra text space for X4, Broken Zoom window in X7

I'm sure the vast majority of issues are use/computer based issues. However I have had past problems loading PSP onto new equipment. Hence the trepidation.
PSP is not the easiest to setup items such as Brushes and Plug Ins.
Likewise workspace. Rather than try to load my old one I spent the time creating a new one. Corel needs a small application that can find and install these items each time a new versions is released. Doing so just may encourage others to upgrade more often.
