Videostudio Ultimate x7 64 bit FATAL ERROR on installation

Hello,
I have purchased VideoStudio x7 Ultimate on last May. Then i install it and everything was ok.
Now i needed to reformat my PC and install again the operating system (Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit) and when i tried to install the software i get at the beginning of the installation "FATAL ERROR" and it stops.

I tried to do it with a fresh user account and the same happened.
I also tried to install it in safe mode and again i got the Fatal Error.
And finally i downloaded the demo version and the same happened!!!

Please if anyone have a solution help me ASAP because i need to use the software for some work.

Welcome to the forums

Sorry you are having problems installing the program.
We are volunteers here trying to help, but do not work for Corel, obviously we will do what we can.
You may be best however asking the question on Corels Facebook account, there it should be answered by Corel staff.

The version of Video Studio is the full version and not an upgrade?
If an upgrade then install the previous version first


You say you have re-installed the operating system, have you completed all Windows Updates.
Also that your graphics drivers are using the manufactures latest versions.

I'm in a similar boat.

I've tried reinstalling X7 64 on two computers, both with an error. Mine's not a fatal error, but an error that says I need to attempt to reinstall again, and the error code is -9.

The 32 bit version installs OK. So I would assume the file is corrupted on Corel's end. Is there anyway to contact their wonderful tech support and let them know?

If you do not have the free Corel Support (check your Corel account) then you can either payextra or contact them via their facebook account.

The facebook account is staffed by Corel employees as far as we are aware.
