Can anyone make an educated guess as to when Corel will add Canon 7D MK2 Raw files?

Yes, please, I've got a Canon 7D Mark II too and I would love to have RAW support!

I can provide sample RAW images if that is helpful, too.

As a temporary kludge, I've been using darktable from the master branch on github (what will likely become the 1.7.0 release), which has experimental 7d mark II support, to convert the .cr2s into .jpgs.

Just as a test, I tried editing the exif to change the Camera model field from "Canon EOS 7D Mark II" to "Canon EOS 7D". But it didn't work in ASP1. In fact it crashes the program.

Shame. The trick works nicely for the G1X Mark II, which still isn't supported in ASP2 despite the G7X having support in the latest version and coming out 6 months after the G1X Mark II.

you might also try to modify the EXIFs to EOS 70D - this cam should have a more similar sensor/electronic than the 7D mk1
(but don't no whether the 70D is upported....

)

For anyone who finds this thread and hasn't seen the update yet, support for the Canon 7D Mark II was just added last week in version 2.1.2.10. You can get it from the updates page.
