Adverts cannot be disabled in VSPro6

Post by no-one »

Every time I open or close VideoStudio Pro 6, an ad box pops up as in previous versions of the software. There's a check box with the legend "Do not display this message again", but when I click on it, it stays unchecked and the window closes itself (same as if I had hit the big red X at top right, or the Close button in the bottom right) - so I keep getting the window with apparently no way to deactivate it.

Granted it's not a critical error, but it has been happening for months and is bugging the hell out of me, so if anyone has thoughts on what might fix it I'd be much obliged!

Cheers

Have a look at this Corel solution... Although it's for PaintShop Pro, the folder it refers to in Roaming is a folder common to all Corel programs, I believe. Anyway, I have used this and so far no new messages (which also annoy me)... http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... ntshop-Pro

To set the Message Preferences in VS, look at my photo below. First click where the red arrow is pointing, and then in the Corel Guide which appears, click on the cog icon where the green arrow is pointing.
