I've had the occasional problem of poor quality audio with X7.

There's an example with just the intro I use in a project file for gaming videos. The source file is a lossless .wav, but the same also happens with .mp3 using this particular track.

My only problem is that in that You Tube sample, I cannot hear any crackle at all on my computer's good Logitech 5.1 sound system. In fact, it sounded rather impressive. I'll be interested in the comments of others who play it...

Dunno, I'm using a higher end DAC with a pair of Beyerdyanmic headphones...maybe it's something weird on my end.
