Freezing Issues Version X6!

Hello Again..

She's baaaack, once again searching for a solution to an annoying issue.

After I have been using my PSP Version X6 for little while, perhaps 10-15 minutes, it freezes for 20-30 seconds. During this time I can hear my hard drive whirring until the program sorts itself out and begins functioning again. This is repeated every three or so minutes. I am driving Windows 8.1 64bit.

This seems to be related to the length of time I have been using it. It seems in no way related to the number of images open, since the problem does not go away when I close all but two or three of them.

I thought perhaps emptying the cache would help, but that too had no effect.

Version X6 has this issue since the day I installed it.

Version X4, also running on this computer, does not have this problem.

So, what am I missing here? Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to correct this?
