Yes, I know it and this is what I want. I don't want to put the "real" video files into the folders.BrianCee wrote:As Trevor said - the thumbnails that you see in those folders are not your actual video clips - the thumbnails are just shortcuts to the actual video file which is somewhere on your hard drive - so you are not actually storing videos in there.
No, unfortunately it's not a solution for me. The VideoStudio is a NLE editor and I use its features. For example, I create a video clip from different video files, sometimes recorded in the time interval of some years and thus located in different folders on hard disk. It could be inconvenient when I used only the real folders because it would be hard to find particular files in many different folders. Thanks to Corel virtual folders I can keep all the shortcuts to different media files (video, audio, images) in one place.BrianCee wrote: but instead of trying to use the VideoStudio 38 folders which you find restricting why not use the 'Browse' button at the bottom of the folders list to open windows file explorer where you could set up a folder structure with as many sub-folders within sub-folders as you wish - each containing the real video file not just a link - you can drag and drop from File Explorer into the timeline just the same as if they were in the VideoStudio library folder.
