Yes there are lots of online free and paid converters available. You can easily change their functionalists and designs also.

Yes, in VS6 and VS7 you can convert 3D to 2D.
Drop your 3D video into VS, then, 'Tag as 3D' by right clicking on the clip and selecting 'Tag as 3D', the preview screen will show a 2D picture.
Next, you move to 'Share' and select any type of output except 3D.
The resulting output will be 2D.
