Hi

You have created a new line by pressing “Carriage Return”

1 / Place your curser at the beginning of the second line and press “ Backspace “ on the keyboard
Or
2 / Position the curser at the end of first line, Press “delete” till characters line-up, then press space bar to create a space.

Changing fonts/size

There is an option to Copy and Paste Attributes, this may do what you want, be careful to save a copy of your VSP, the Copy and Paste option may affect the location of your text.

Select a clip in the timeline, right click for Copy Attributes, then select other clips to Paste attributes. Shift + Click will select multiple clips.

Take care as I say it may mess up your positioning?

Hi vasilis

Please insert the titles to a new project, save the project.
Locate the VSP on the hard drive, zip the VSP and attach to your forum post.

I will download and view those text boxes.

Use a proper subtitle editor if you want to edit an external subtitle file.

Hi vasilis

Download the attachment sub title file.

Add a video to the timeline 46 Seconds or more

Set the timeline text editor to your preferred font.

Open Sub Title editor and Import the Sub Title.srt file.

Follow/read the text from 1 to 7

Hi

if you have text on two lines then you have to remove the "line brake"

pressing carriage return will cause the text to go to the second line.

Pressing either delete or backspace will remove the space and display the text on a single line.

You are best doing that in the sub Title editor.
Or open the SRT file in Notepad to edit there.

did you download the Zip file... open the srt to the sub title editor to read the information.

Hi vasilis

Wow thanks for the sample SRT, that’s big, the video must be at least 1hr 45 min, with 1157 titles.

I don’t read or speak Greek, but can see that some of the Titles are on two lines.
I am sure you wish these to be on a single line.

Your best option is to open the SRT using NotePad, I use one called “EditPadLite 7”

There you can identify the Text along with the timeline locations, this is what line 1152 looks like

1152
01:44:43,840 --> 01:44:47,470
Θα την κάνεις αύριο, Φορντ,
γλυστρώντας πάνω στα σκατά σου.

I assume you wish it to display as :-

1152
01:44:43,840 --> 01:44:47,470
Θα την κάνεις αύριο, Φορντ, γλυστρώντας πάνω στα σκατά σου.

How….
Place your curser after

Θα την κάνεις αύριο, Φορντ,

And press “Delete” then press the “Space Bar” to input a space.

As you can see there are thousands of titles to edit, although not all are on two lines.

Good luck with this one.

I think the text has been set on two lines because of the length/number of characters.
Two lines will allow the text to display on screen, a single line may loose the text left and right.

I have attached the SRT so others may view, let me know if that is ok.

Hi

You cannot do that automatically, it can only be done manually.

You are best to retain the original two lines, changing to one line may be to long to view on screen.
Then you have to change the Font / Font size to make the text fit, the font size may be to small to read.
Changing the font size would be done in the main timeline, doing that in the Sub Editor would affect every/all text.

What is the problem if you keep the two rows.?
