I'm wondering if it's still impossible to insert ASCII codes into the line of text I create in VS Pro X5. My objective is to insert a copyright symbol (Alt+0169). I imagine that other users would want to copyright some of their work, as well. Obviously, I can spell out the word, but I think it's "cleaner" to use the symbol ©LEC, 2014, just like I did here.
-- Have any of you found a way to do it, short of creating a microscopic jpg image of one? I searched this forum and found only 2 related posts. I think both were back in 2007?

You could simply copy & paste the character from Windows Character Map utility.

Good call canuck
I just copied and pasted ©LEC, 2014 from your post directly to VS text box, using X7 but X5 should do the same.

I regularly put the copyright symbol into many of the videos I do for my local school - simple copy from the Windows character map and paste (Ctrl+V) into VideoStudio - you can do many of the symbols like that - - all these work well

Re: VS PRO X5 -- Inserting ASCII codes into VS text
Thank you guys! The simple answer is that Corel didn't bother to add it, and probably never will. Why they never included that, baffles me, but doesn't surprise me.
The good news is that copy/paste from an outside source into the program 'text' will work, and that news came from you guys, here! I'm very happy you are still here.
I didn't think of trying that because I was so focused on trying to figure out how to do it with VS. Spent wasted hours until I got here to ask for help. Thank you!!!
