Re: save movie to sd card
To which device are you burning the video: to the SD card or the USB stick. These are two different devices. Is your TV able play from a SD card?
Also, most likely the SD card or the USB stick are formatted to FAT32 which means that no file can be larger then 4GB. Your AVCHD movie is also larger then 4GB. Your list shows it to be about 14GB.

Re: save movie to sd card
As far as I can see, the 'burn to SD card' option in effect co-opts the AVCHD hybrid disc option, and burns the same only to an SD card. And that is the sort of structure you get in an AVCHD/Blu-Ray disc -- a BDMV main folder, and a STREAM folder which contains the actual video -- which is usually broken down into the types of files you see in yours: 00000, 00001 etc...
In a sense, though, it depends on what you are going to use to play the video from the SD card. I don't burn to an SD card, though I do burn regularly to USB stick drives and USB external hard disks. And I usually use VLC player on this computer. When I open VLC player, I go to Media > Open Folder and point it at the STREAM folder, NOT Media > Open File. With the STREAM Folder option, it will then play the individual files in that folder in sequence i.e. there should be no breaks.

Re: save movie to sd card
Have you tried playing the video that is "in parts" - does it play in parts - or as one video

Re: save movie to sd card
Hi
I would say No, Although there may be a menu structure the TV will see individual files and play one at a time. Seems to do that via USB Stick, if it were on a BD disc then it would play all.
At least that’s what happens on my setup, although I play via the DVD / BD Player., but TV sets can be different?
I would format the USB drive to use NTFS rather than Fat 32.
Then you can add the video as one 14 Gb file.
Depending on the files extension, it may or may not play. But that’s a function of your TV
If you cannot play MTS files try re-naming to use MPG
I cannot comment on SD cards as my TV does not have that facility.

Why don't you just test it instead of asking the same question over and over again.

Re: save movie to sd card
Hi vasilis
First try playing the files from your usb stick.
When you created the files I assume you used Share – Disc – Avchd. This opens the burner module (authoring module) you created a menu then create Avchd Folder.
You will be best to create a video file first.
Share – Avchd option. Or Same as First Clip.
If you tell us the properties of your original video files we can advise on the best option.
I assume your video files have been recorded using a AVCHD Camcorder.
Right click one of your files and choose properties, what are they?
You can create an image of that window and attach to your post.

Re: save movie to sd card
If that movie is a commercial movie you downloaded using a torrent then what you are doing is considered pirating and is illegal.

Re: save movie to sd card
As I said above, I think that the burn to SD option itself chooses the AVCHD hybrid disc format for its output, even though being burnt to an SD card -- and that is regardless of the original format of the project. But I have never used the option except to experiment with it in this case. But I wonder if anyone else has found the same thing?
Vasilis: I regularly create a single AVCHD file from my projects. I don't use Video Studio put it on a USB stick drive or USB external hard disc. I simply use Windows and transfer it like any other file -- though of course if the file is larger than 4 GB, the drive has to be in NTFS format in order not to break up the file.
Next, neither of my HDTVs will play video direct from either an SD card or USB drive. But I have Blu-Ray players connected to both of them via HDMI. And I just plug the USB drive into the Blu-Ray player and play it on the HDTV from there. It works extremely well. The only downside of this method is that you don't have a menu.
