how to remove corel advertising text from body of emails

Post by shortmop »

Need to know how to remove this text which is placed inside of emails (in the body of the email) when using Paint Shop Pro XI
"Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI was used to send this e-mail. To try this fun photo product yourself, download it for FREE at http://www.corel.com"
I do not want this inserted into emails sent using PSP. Thanks in advance for any help.

Why send an email direct from PSP?

I just tried it from X6, nothing was in the body of the email. But even so, cannot you edit it out?

Highlight text with your mouse and hit delete.

I know how to highlight and delete the text it puts in there but that is a pain in short order. To the other reply, I send emails from psp because
I send psp elements....etc. as challenges to an email group.....it is easier to send them through psp and works great...other than the annoying
text that corel puts in there. I've gotten it to stop doing it before through the registry of the computer but I don't remember now which keys
I edited or removed to do it. Besides....if you have paid software it shouldn't put advertising in your emails to start with. Some versions of
psp do this while others do not, I just happen to like psp xi the best. Thanks for the replies, I do appreciate someone trying to help!

I don't know what registry values those would have been, but try something.

On the script toolbar hit the record button. Then send an email. Save out the script.

Open the script in a text editor and see what it has set for the "Message" parameter. If it's empty, then my idea won't work. If the "Message' parameter has the advertizement text in it you can easily make up a script that will not put the text in when you send an email.

Thank you for your reply and possible solution. I did create the script and opened it but there is no text in it that has the advertisement lines. Drats!
I thought that sounded like a great idea too!

Depends on how desperate you are to remove that text - but in similar circumstances I have sent the e-mail to one of my secondary e-mail accounts - then 'forwarded' it from there to the correct recipient after removing the offending text.

I appreciate your reply, help and suggestion. I think there are some pretty smart people on this forum and my guess is....if they don't know how
to stop the text from appearing in the emails.....then it just can't be done. So I think I"m going to learn to live with the "annoying text/ad insertion".
It's either live with it or use psp versions I don't like. I have psp X3, X4 and X5, they don't do the ad--text insertion into emails. But I like the older style
organizer with the folder tree along side the thumbs of your images. Lesser of two evils thing. Thanks again for everyone's help and your time. Enjoy your day!
