PSPX7 and Canon scan

Post by leifjoha »

I have problems with scanning with Canon 9000F Mark II.

I know I shall use 32bit version, I can start scanning but after 2-3 scan the Canon scanning windows freeze.

I can make so many scans I want with Irfan View or direct from Canon buttons no problems - conclusion there ist a problem with PSPX7. With PSPX6 no problems

Perhaps somebody from the support read this

leifjoha Denmark.

NB I have used PSP for more than 10 years, but with the new support policy from Corel, I am trying to learn the Gimp

Have you checked to see if you have the latest driver for your scanner ?

It seems more serious: I have the same problem with a Canon 9000F (not MII) and the latest driver. With PSP 6 it takes a bit longer, but the program also stops. No problems with Photoshop Elements or IrfanView. The solution must come from Corel.

Speak to Canon support, they have been very helpful to me in the past.

No - and I don't want to do so. This is as I write a problem for Corel not me. The Canon driver functions well with Irfan View and with the Canon program. I have paid for the PSPX7 program. There are also other small problems - sometimes the new window for 'Smart Photo Fix' lost the right instrument panel - sometimes the 'Save as' freeze.

Please 'dear' Corel a 'Service pack 1' is needed.
