Hi,
Linux Kubuntu LTS 14.04 x64 brand new install
Aftershot Pro 2 2.1.0.40 x64 brand new install, registered/purchased version
After many years of using Bibble and then ASP I figured I knew what I was doing but in this latest version I cannot seem to edit my metadata sets. When I drag items over to the right hand view window pane they don't stay. Is this a known problem or do I need to edit them differently? All my previous versions just required me to open the "Manage" button and drag IPTC or whatever items from the left side to to the right side but this does not seem to work anymore. I can delete items in the right side window but cannot add any new ones from the left side.
Any help with this would be great..!

Re: Cannot edit metadata sets
I have tried both the 32bit and 64bit versions on 2 completely different computers and neither work, I drag the items over to the right and it does nothing. Does anyone have a better understanding of the mechanics of that operation and can give some insight as to why it may not be working? Like is a profile variable corrupt or something? In general I have noticed with each ASP upgrade the program gets buggier and slower, this new version crashes or freezes fairly regularly (but that is off topic from this post).afx wrote:Works on my Ubuntu installation...

[SOLVED] Re: Cannot edit metadata sets
Looks like KDE has some funky problem with Drag n Drop and Desktop Effects. I turned off Desktop Effects because I don't need window animations and Genie Window effects but it turns out that cripples drag n drop for some apps, not all but some. So as soon as I enabled Desktop Effects again the Metadata Sets started working again.
Perhaps the ASP design team can incorporate a +/- for the items and not just leave it as a drag n drop only maneuver.
