I don't get any audio on MP4 videos that I import. They do play with sound if played via VLC but not on VSP X7 (both as clip or project).
I have attached a screen shot with details of one of my videos with no sound. Any help is appreciated.

Re: No audio for MP4 video
Hi
It is almost certain that the audio is using the MP3 Lame Encoder, that does cause problems when editing.
Playback via media players may be ok especially VLC which seems to play most things you throw at it.
Unfortunately I don’t know that much about lame. Do a Google search for Mp3 Lame
Audacity had some info
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/fa ... i=lame-mp3
Your best option is to convert the video to a more editable format maybe using Mpeg Audio 2
Video Studio tweaks, sometimes changing the volume level from 100% to 99% has then played the video audio, and no I don’t know why?

Re: No audio for MP4 video
I did install the lame but no help
In the past when I played the clip in VS I wouldn't get any audio but then when I clicked project, it would start playing with sound. Only recently I am unable to get any audio whatsoever and its very frustrating.
All the MP4 video files I have are very long and would take forever to covert them before editing. Therefore desperately looking for a solution.
