Adjustment or Plugin to invert colors

I need to select an area in an image and invert the colors like it were a negative image. (I used to be able to do this easily with Corel Paint, CorelDraw Suite 12. That program will not install on my windows 8 system.) Can anyone tell me if there is a free plugin or an existing way to do this in PaintShop Pro X7. I've tried Harry's and Xero plugins, but an invert colors option does not appear available or I can't find it?

Yes, PSP includes a Negative Image option. And you can restrict it to a selection if you want.

1) Make a selections

2) Image -> Negative Image

On your menu bar. It's under "Image" not "Adjust"

Sorry for the confusion there, that's what the "->" notation is meant to represent.

Menu name -> Menu Item

So I was pointing you to the Image menu to find an item named Negative Image

Image -> Negative Image
