Is it possible to copy and paste keyframes, I've tried the usual ctrl+c/Ctrl+v but that pastes the whole image not the keyframe. I'm trying to (easily) replicate keyframes in a timeline so that an existing movement repeats itself

I am not exactly sure on what you mean on repeating.
But try this.
Go to the keyframe under the timeline you want.
Select Edit\Copy
Go to the keyframe you want to have the same position.
Select Edit\Paste Attributes
Comes out a list of attributes you can paste.
