You can do, but it is illegal to use the same licensed product on more than one computer at a time.

As I said, yes you can install it on another pc, and use it on your new laptop, but if you have both pc's on and both copies of VS running at the same time you are breaking the law.
If you are selling your old pc or giving it away, you need to uninstall VS so the other person cannot use it.

Sorry Graham but officially you can only install Video Studio on one computer.

Please read the EULA to confirm whether you can install on several pc’s.
As it stands at the moment for Video Studio you are allowed to install on one (1) computer only, how that is monitored I don’t know. This may be a licensing issue regarding Smart Sound Music or Digital Dolby, just an assumption.
For most other products you are allowed to install on three (3) separate pc, provided you only use one at a time.
You can install several versions of Corel programs, most users here will have several versions of Video Studio installed. So you do not have to uninstall the old program before installing the new version.
Removal tools, yes there are available, most from the Corel Knowledge Base, but if you tell us which version, I am sure someone here will oblige.
If you require conformation of the EULA please contact Corel, they have a facebook account which may prove useful.
