Re: remove unwanted objects
There is also the Object Remover tool.
Smart Carver deletes pixels marked in red, preserves pixels marked in green, and stretches pixels to maintain image size. You can also use it as a liquid rescale tool to resize an image leaving the most important parts of the image alone.
Magic Fill is a content-aware fill. Unlike smart carver it doesn't delete anything it simply covers up a selection with other areas from the image. So you create a selection, hit the magic fill button and hope for decent results. Magic fill uses the area around the selection to determine what colors to mix and match.
Object Remover - found under the clone brush, is similar to Magic fill in that you create a selection and PSP will attempt to fill in that area with similar pixels and make it look semi-natural. The difference between it and Magic fill is that you get to select the sample area, whereas magic fill just grabs from anywhere in the entire image that it wants to.

Re: remove unwanted objects
The best way to decide is to try each and compare. What works for one image may not for another.vasilis wrote:between smαrt carver-fill magic -object removal tool which has the best result?

Re: remove unwanted objects
Depending on what object needs to be removed and the image as a whole, there are many tools.
I just had a live presentation, last night, on that, and i found there are 10 ways to remove unwanted elements:
1- Crop tool : of course, that changes the size of the image
2- Eraser tool: but then you have to replace what you take off
3- Background Eraser tool: same as the Eraser tool so you still need to replace it
4- Extraction: you can extract the element you want gone, but again you would have to replace what you took out
5- Clone tool: you can hide the unwanted element by cloning something from the surrounding area
6- Smart Carver: it will remove the element but "stitch" the edges together; works mostly for thin vertical or horizontal objects
7- Scratch Remover: works best with fairly straight elements when you have space on each side to blend the colors over the object
8- Makeover tool - Blemish Fixer: for small areas, works like the Scratch Remover but takes on the colors all around
9- Object Remover: you can select where you want to remove an object and where to take on the fill; works best when you have a large enough source to use
10- Magic Fill: where it will analyse the surrounding to find sections to fill the unwanted space: works best when there is a wide enough space to pick around.
The recording of that presentation should be available by next weekend.
