Aplly effects to multiple pictures?

Post by qtranva »

I'm trying to make a movie that comprises about 37 still images and 7 film clips. Is there a way to apply the "pan & zoom" effect to all images at once? It is too time consuming for me to click on each picture and set up the effect. Also it would be nice to be able to change the duration of the slides all at once. If this is not possible, I'll have to go back to the slideshow program MemoriesOnTV I've been using. Thanks.

afik you cannot aply the same pan and zoom the same to every photo however you can change all the durations all at once by pressing "ctrl + a'' to select all then go to ""clip'' in the top right corner to change clip duration or preselect the duration in the preferences tab

Thanks for your response. I don't need to apply the same pan & zoom. As long as I can apply this effect (randomly) on all pictures at once. About the duration, when I "ctrl+a" to select all images, all I have on the top right corner is "project duration" and "preview range". Maybe I'm not looking at the right place?

After you have selected them all you need to click on "Clip >> Change Image/Colour Duration" to adjust all image durations simultaneously.

And it's not all that hard to use "Animation" and click on the same effect without getting into "Customize."

version 9

"Clip >> Change Image/Colour Duration"
I think version 9 doesn't have this option. If that's the case then it's just rediculous that ulead is going backward, getting rid of useful features. I also include the screen shots below:
when all images selected http://members.cox.net/q.tran/allimages.jpg
when one image selected http://members.cox.net/q.tran/oneimage.jpg

but I see no evidence in the multiple select one that you have clicked on 'Clip' in order to select "Change Image/Color Duration" - I assure you version 9 DOES have this option.

Now I see the Clip on the very top left of the screen. Thanks for pointing that out.
