Big problems on installation and uprade

Post by MotiveHunter »

Hello,
i'm the 1st time here and i request about my english, it's a little bit rusty.
I've bought before ca. 7 or 8 weeks PaintShop Pro X5. I was so ardent, that i've bought X6 1 or 2 weeks later.
Now, the problems begins. After a few days, i've got the message (translation machine): "This Copy of Paintshop Pro was damaged or illegal changed.
Please make a new installation of original version.
I've all testet. deinstallation, new installation. At the new installation, program "says": On this computer, the software is installed. We abort this installation.
I've tested it on my both PCs, the problem is the same.
Please help me, i'll bestow coffee for all.

Greetings from Berlin, Andreas

PS: Paintshop Pro X5 is a CD version, X6 is a download version,
PPS: Paintshop Pro X, i can use and work without problems

Hi Andreas,
I'm not sure, but it sounds like you need one of the PSP cleanup tools that you can find here in this post, one of the sticky posts of this forum.
It should clean up the installation so you don't get the "already installed" message when you reinstall the program.

Good luck.
