VS ProX6: Crop just top border from a video?

Post by pgp566 »

Hello, I just want to crop the top border from a video in the overlay track. Can't see a way to do it:
Cropping: crops top and bottom equally, cannot position the cropped area so that it crops only the top.
Crop Borders: Lots of weird options but can't find a way to crop just one side of a video.
What I want to do is very simple, just a straight CROP (of one side only) as can be done in Photoshop, etc....
Many thanks!

After you have applied the 'cropping' FX open the Options panel and click on "Customise Filter"

in the new panel which opens you can set the crop height and width individually and also move the crop area where ever you want it - hover you mouse cursor over the cross in the middle and it will change to a little hand - left click and hold while you slide the crop area up or down.

Brilliant!! Thank you Brian, I didn't even see the little cross in the middle! (camouflaged by video content). Super fast response, meaning no delay at all in the project! Thanks a million....
