Hello everyone! This is my first post on this board and if this is a topic that has been discussed before, I apologize. I didn't find anything similar so I thought I would post.
I am having trouble opening up images made in newer versions of PSP in X3 and it will automatically pull up in X4. Not a problem, really as long as I can open them up. My real problem is that when a .pspimage opens up in 14, I can't see the layers. Is there something that is corrupted in the image or am I not using X4 or X3 correctly? My friend sent me her PSP image (I think it is in a newer version, possibly X5 or X6) and I can pull it up on X4 but am not seeing the different layers. Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Help with PSP X3 and X4
The reason you can't open images in PSP X3 may have to do with how they are saved. When you "save as" there is an option button to set compatibility to older versions of PSP. Screen shot showing this option below.
Unknown as to why you are not seeing layers. Are you certain the image contains layers? Is the file one that supports layers such as a pspimage file?

Re: Help with PSP X3 and X4
Thank you for the screenshot! That helps quite a bit. As for the layers, I am wondering if she didnt merge the layers first and then save it as a psp image. I will ask her and find out. Thank you again for the info. That did help me a lot.
