Smartsound / Auto music no longer available?

I was working on quite a large project which included auto music - took me ages to decide what to use.

Then I had to work on a different project. I couldn't insert the videoclips and had to download quicktime - sorted that project done and dusted.

Gone back to original project - everything is still there but my automusic has disappeared and it is asking me to reload the cd and relink the clips. I didn't have a cd in the first place - it was all automatically installed from the VS disk - I believe.

I have uninstalled reinstalled VS and quicktime - but still no use - I am on a windows 8.1 64bit laptop.

I would really appreciate if anyone has any ideas at all on what I can do to get back to being able to use the automusic. All options within the Auto Music section are totally greyed out.

Can we assume you have installed the purchased version and not the trial version?

Try running the Quicktime installer, you don’t say what version you have installed, the installer should be in a similar location for other versions, Although I am running Windows 7 not 8

Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X7 Setup Files\Setup\RunTime\Quicktracks5Installer

Just noticed that you mention a disc, if so copy the contents of the disc to your hard drive to locate the Quicktracks installer file?

By the way what version are you using?

Hi it is a fully paid for version Vs6

I downloaded quick time from Apple site so guess it is the latest version.

I don't have that file listed - this is what is there:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X6\Setup\{6688A246-F6E8-48AD-9806-8D5832E9F15D}

I have searched for runtime and quicktracks and neither appear in the directories.

Hi

I don’t understand why you are having problems in installing the Smart Sound.

You could try copying the entire disc content to your hard drive, then do a re-install using those files, run the installation as Administrator.

Corel have a facebook account, there you should get a reply from a Corel employee who may be able to give more info.

Latest trial VS X7 does not contains SmartSound. It is cutted down from ~1.8GB down to ~800MB.

EDIT: And even SmartSound is installed from previous TRIAL it does not show in latest VS X7.

In previous TRIAL v17.1.0.22 icon was there (screenshot - http://i.imgur.com/0ARrhxF.png) in latest TRIAL v17.1.0.37 is missing.

I am using vs x6 not 7

Can I just copy the folder into the Corel folder?
