X7 - DV footage - I have problems!

Post by Leif Mikkelsen »

Hello friends

I have imported DV film into X7, and I am editing!
BUT: I want to export it to a file, in MPEG-4, (1920x1080, 25p, 15mbps). When I do that my titles (which are typed inside the warning rectangel) are reaching outside the film-format!!
Then I have tryed to change the format in "project properties" from DV/avi to AVCHD, - and then the titles are ok!
BUT: As I do that I can not place a color background on the timeline, without being widescreen (9x16)!
I need help to sort my problems / confusions out!
Please someone - help me!!

With many greetings

Leif

Hi
and welcome to the forums.

Are your DV-Avi using 4:3 aspect ratio or 16:9

Try rendering to Dv-Avi
then convert the Dv-Avi to Avchd?

Take care when working with Dv-Avi they use Lower Field as the interlacing option, the default templates for Avchd use Upper Field
changing the order may show as jagged lines.

Use Movie Profile Manager to create your own Avchd template using Lower field.
