I bought some plugins from Topaz labs today and put them in the PSP X7 plugins folder. When I open PSP X7 it says "No Plugins loaded" . The path I have for my plugins is: Windows (C:) >Program Files (x86)> Corel > Corel PaintShop Pro X> Plugins > EN. I have a few others loaded and they show up on my PSP.
The first question (I'm not familiar with those plugins) is: are they 64-bits or 32-bits. You can't run 32-bit plugins in the 64-bit version of PSP.
Those folders, (C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X7\Languages\EN\Plugins) are for the 32-bit version of PSP.
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4\Languages\EN\Plugins (without the (x86)) are for the 64-bit version.
If the plugins are 32-bits they're in the right place and you have to use the 32-bit version of PSP to use them.
64-bit versions should be installed to "c:\program files..." without the (x86), and used with the 64-bit version of PSP.
I run the 64 bit version of PSPx7 and the Topaz plug ins just fine. Not sure if this will help, but I installed the Topaz plug ins to their default folder and then added that folder in PSPx7 file locations/plug ins. Not sure why putting them someplace else would mess them up, but it works (for me) in the default location.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.
I also allow Topaz plug-ins to install to their default location and link to them via File --> Preferences --> File Locations --> Plug-ins.
On my PC they are located C:\Program Files (x86)\Topaz Labs.
Topaz supplies both a 32-bit and 64-bit version of the plug-ins. The only exception is Topaz Impression as it is strictly 64-bit and it is located here C:\Program Files\Topaz Labs\Topaz Impression. Note: Impression will run on 32-bit software as long as the O/Sis 64-bit.
