iPhone MOV Video Files

Post by acecert »

I'm having difficulty with VideoStudio X7 handling mov files from my iPhone 6. I'm able to drop them in (after copying the mov files to my computer) but when it comes time to render, it always hangs up "not responding" after around 25% complete instead of successfully rendering the file. Any thoughts?

Can you please right click on one of the files in the VS timeline and copy ALL its Properties here please. That will at least give us somewhere to start in providing an answer. Do you have the latest version of Quicktime installed on your computer?

Sure. Here is the properties of one of the clips (there are more mov clips on this project.) I recently also tried to put a mov file within a another project where had other file formats and it too kept stopping at the same point (right at the mov file). As soon as I deleted the mov file, the project fully rendered. What's confusing is that in my current project (all mov files) it stops at the same point but renders up to that point each time (25%). In the other project (different file formats and mov files) it would stop at the mov file as described. What I'm saying is if mov files are the issue I don't understand why it would even render 25%? At any rate, per your request is the properties of the first clip. I'm not sure if you need the exact mov file clip where the video stops each time or if it makes a difference...it's the same type of file, taken at the same time as the other files.

In regard to my version of Quicktime Player...it's 7.7.5.

Hi

Corel released a fix for a problem with mov files, the properties were similar to your files, I think the audio differed.
Anyway maybe worth trying the fix

Unable to import .MOV Video files from Panasonic Lumix………
