Hi there, I have a problem with VideoStudio Pro X5, I have bought a new PC and do not want to buy X7 in case the same problem exists, however the problem I have on X5 is this. When I click Make Disk then click DVD, I then add some files to the project (MPG files) it crashes straight away with..
The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning. Please Contact Corel Technical Support and send the dump file for analysis.
The way I have to build a disk is create an mpg for each section (which does work) and then copy these to an old laptop where I run an older version of Video Studio. I then can add the mPG's to the project, build the menu and create a disk. However I spend half the day transfer large mpg files from one pc to another etc. it's ridiculous.
Any ideas what I should check, more than happy to get the upgrade and half bought a fairly powerful machine and graphics card to run it, but don't want to throw 50 quid upgrade away if I have the same problem.
Cheers
Paul

Re: Problem With Pro X5
Hello Paul - Welcome to the forum
Making individual mpg's and then putting them on DVD's singly is fine - I very often do that myself as for some of the DVD's I make that is a much easier way to work.
It is interesting that you can make a DVD on one computer but not another - I understand it has a different version of VideoStudio but I do wonder if is is the actual computer which is causing the problem.
You do not have to buy X7 to see if it will solve your problem you can download a FREE 30 day trial from the Corel website and check it for yourself fo a month without spending any money.
