So, I'm experimenting with various UHD encrypting tasks. Seems like the major standard for these highest quality videos is H.265/HEVC. Maybe it's me but I can't seem to find it in my current VSProX7 version.
Is there a way to incorporate this codec into VSProX7 - or are there plans to incorporate soon?
Thanks,
PJV

Re: H.265 HEVC Availability?
The first version of h.265 only came out last year, and though a second version was agreed in July this year, I am not sure that it has become widely available yet... Anyway, it was probably regarded as being too "experimental" when X7 was being developed, and Corel does not move quickly to embrace new technology, especially one which is still being developed. Moreover, as none of us here work for Corel, we have no idea whether they have any plans to include h.265 in the next version of VS.
I was also under the impression that h.265 requires very powerful computers to handle it -- probably beyond the range of many (most?) of us here. However, I could be wrong about that...

This new codec is still very young and undeveloped , and not much devices or NLEs can handle it . If you eargerly want to use it , then find some converter to help you.
