VideoStudio X7 Capture Issue

For those who Googled this subject and ended up at this topic, I will provide an update.
I am using this Roxio Video Capture USB device purchased from Roxio in April of 2016 and Corel Video Studio X9. The error message displayed is the same as described by "Railroadjoe" on October 12, 2014.

I have submitted tech support tickets to Corel. It may seem that the separate divisions may find it advantageous not to talk to one another, but Corel is paying developers in both divisions to do the same task. If they consolidated effort, the products would be better and customers happier.

I don't know which of the two Roxio Capture devices you have but the one one that came with Roxio Easy VHS to DVD is not compatible with W10.

Ditto with X8.6.0.6. It was working fine with the Roxio VHS to DVD3 plus then all of sudden stopped working and I get the exact same error. Just trying to save a couple of steps but looks like I will have to capture in one then import to make it work. Such is life.

Is there a Video Capture device that IS compatible with VideoStudio? I'm using X7 but have a Trial version of X9.
