There are a lot of developers out there creating/editing DXT [texture] BMPs in the gaming community. In my case, these are `airline paint scheme´ textures for aircraft in flight sim.
The following link: https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-tex ... -photoshop seems to have the utility files. Has anyone installed these? and would like to comment on the process of setting up? so I don't make a big mess of it?
Edit:
I might add that DXT (DDS) bitmap files have features (or layers) that support reflection coefficient and height maps.. such as for polished aluminum or stainless panels, or showing rivets on airplane panels.. both of these features in a 'lighted' virtual reality environment.

Re: Anyone running Nvidia DXT plug-in with PSP?
I have! I've installed the 64 bit version on both X6 and X7 (both 64 bit too). Other than a minor annoyance on loading, it works fine. I've edited and saved dozens of DDS files with X6. Haven done any with X7 yet, but I have tested it to make sure it would load them.
To install, just run the program, and have it install to the "PlugIns" folder of your PSP install. Then open PSP, go to "File\Preferences\File Locations." Then choose "Plug-ins." Click the "Add" button, then select the "C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X7 (64-bit)\PlugIns\Plug-Ins" folder (this is my set up. Yours will vary depending on which PSP version and whether you have the 32 or 64 bit installed). Once that's done, it'll load, edit, and save DDS files.
