Pro x7 Crashes at Burn stage

Post by DaveRowley »

I have recently upgraded to Pro x 7 (previously used VideoStudio 3/7/11 etc) so that I can produce films on BluRay.
I get an error when trying to render then burn with the following message File:.\ShareGlobal..cpp Line 155 Expression : 0
Can anyone help (and keep it simple please?)
I can burn data files to a bluray no problem.
Other info that may help ...
project file size 12.01 (12.90) GB 1hour 33mins disc 23.28 (25)GB

Frankly, I have no idea what that message means, though I have certainly never seen it before in my 10 years on this Board! And I doubt anyone else here knows what it means, since none of us work for Corel.

However, what we need is more information from you. What is the format of the video in your project: can you please right click on a clip in the VS timeline or library window, and copy ALL its Properties here... And do the same with other clips if they are from different sources.

Can you also give more detail about your exact work flow: what do you mean exactly by "render then burn"? Are you editing then converting your project to its final format in the Editing module? Or are you editing the project, then opening the burning module and doing the rendering as part of the burning process?

Finally, exactly which Blu-Ray format have you chosen: AVCHD (mpeg-4 using the h.264 codec) or Blu-Ray compatible mpeg-2?

This is strange... I tried to burn the video again and got the same error message again. This time I noticed there was 3 options, "abort" "try again" and "ignore". Ignore was the only option I hadn't tried.. guess what? it worked...the disc burned!
I still don't know what the problem was or how it was overcome but right know I don't care I'm so pleased because I can burn the disc.
