Hello there,
I'm just looking for a little advice, is it worth upgrading to VSX7 from VSX6, and if so - should I buy the Pro, or the Ultimate?
Regards,

Well first we do not all know that VideoStudio is even remotely unreliable - for me and most of the regular contributors to these forums all versions have been 100% reliable. I don't think I have ever had unreliability problems with the programme and in case your wondering - I , and the rest of the members here are not employed or paid by Corel - we are all volunteer users so we have nothing to gain by making the programme sound better.
Only you can decide whether the upgrade is worth it to you - you know how much you use the programme - you know which features you use - you know which new features would be worth how much to you - you know how much money you have to spend on a new version
I and a few thousand others thought it was worth it and upgraded to X7 almost as soon as it was released - whether you have pro or pro-ultimate is a matter of how much you want to use the additional features provided with the ultimate version - the actual VideoStudio programme is identical between the the versions it is just that you get extra bells and whistles with the ultimate.
This is a link to a matrix which lists all the differences between X6 and X7 including both the Pro and Pro Ultimate versions - are the extras worth it to you

Only your type of work with X6 is to decide if the upgrade is worth it. I only knew VsX4 so going to X7 ultimate was a great leap (and at ~60$ from amazon it was no brainier). Personally I don't see much difference from X6 to X7 in editing tools and "content screen design options". The Ultimate will give you some edge, but learning curve will be steep.Lachlan Benson wrote:Hello there,

I don't know what's in line for X8 but I think you better wait for it.
