Re: Wish list for Paint Shop Pro version X8
Add Scripting API Help to program off-line documentation & update it to latest version (X8). I made it for PaintShop X6 - http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 46#p310095
Support for 4k resolution.
Please leave *bitmap* icons and make all UI icons as vectors in SVG. See http://icons8.github.io/flat-color-icons Yes, it is time. It is 2015!
Vector object can be a clipping mask.
In script I cannot apply Silent mode to layer properties like Outer Glow. Details here http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=57175
One layer can be use as a clipping mask.
More responsiveness of all edit tools.

Fix the PSP Color Management System to work with Epson Photo printers. Currently Epson Photo printers completely ignore the printer profile set in PSP X7 / PSP X6. The only work around is to disable Color Management in PSP and set a printer profile in the Epson printer driver.

Re: Wish list for Paint Shop Pro version X8
I've been a user of Corel Paintshop Pro since X3, and I always love the new features that are revealed with each update. In PSP X8, I really would love to see an improvement in the ability to work in CMYK and offer Pantone & CMYK swatches. An easily accessible "Gamut Warning" feature would be very nice. Another feature would be the ability to add a shortcut key to toggle the visibility of a specific layer once selected. This saves time in scrolling down a long list of layers just to make one invisible.
Recap of Requested Changes for X8
1. Ability to work/import files in CMYK with a Gamut Warning feature
2. Shortcut key for toggling a layer's visibility.

Re: Wish list for Paint Shop Pro version X8
I full agree with the points raised by AlanT. I'd really like to see Aftershot incorporated as a RAW editor into PaintshopPro. This would speed up my workflow and eliminate the need to switch from one program to another.AlanT wrote:The big thing I would like to see is 16-bit/channel support on all tools. Right now, the background eraser tool cannot handle 16-bit images when in discontiguous mode.
As a 2nd vote, better color management is super-important. For whatever reason, PSP, Aftershot, and Photopaint all report different color temperatures even when my camera is set to a specific Kelvin value, and none of them report the right number. (I shoot raw files.) Aftershot is the closest to being right. Would love to be able to use the X-Rite plugin tools to create camera profiles to get more accurate colors.
Of course, this suggests a need for 100% Photoshop plugin support. Any plugin that works in PS should also work in PSP, otherwise, you really can't claim PS plugin compatibility.
On a similar line, I thought XMP support meant that any edits I did in Aftershot would carry over to PSP. Didn't work out that way. Would love to see this happen, or better yet, incorporate Aftershot into PSP as the Adjust mode.
And yes, I agree that an automated tool for stitching images is long overdue. At least Photopaint gives you an indication when image features line up with each other.
Similar to this, a tool to aid in focus stacking would be super-cool.
BTW - if PSP had fully-professional tools, I'd be happy to pay a fully-professional price for it.

Re: Wish list for Paint Shop Pro version X8
No release date has been mentioned by Corel. We can only estimate that they tend to release within 1year of the prevoius release. So it could be sometime this month or sometime next month if they stick to that schedule.

That is strange because I am looking at the offer in my message box as I type. First line is the contest for an Amazon gift card and second line the offer for PSPX8. I didn't get an email of any kind.Monteiro wrote:Not on my PSP.
