I am using PSP together with Vectric Aspire.
I would like to see
Convert object to vectors
or at least
Put a vector around selected object
the latter would make it so easy to delete unwanted background
I know I can use the Smart Selection Brush but it is not accurate enough for me
KingfisherInBoatFishing.jpg
e.g. in a picture like this, I would like to put a vector closely around the birds in the boats, put a mask inside the vectors and delete the rest.
When I then import the picture into Vectric Aspire it would be a simple task to create the vectors I need for carving.
Cheers

First, I would like some of the tools to work better, like some of the auto selection tool etc. It would be great to have an easy to use gradient. One that will lighten, darken, increase sharpening etc and you can just drag it where you want it across the image. It would be wonderful to have a panorama feature. Also, more blending modes and an easier way to compare them (for example, if I want to compare Luminance with Difference, I have to click on them..... it would be nice if I could see them side by side or something.) The most important thing, I would like effects on layers to remain open....So if I am working on an image and have a layer open using a Topaz plug in, I could save the image, reopen it a day later and the plug in and settings are still available, I did not have to "commit" to a particular setting. Of course, I would like PSP to work with more plug ins. Any or some of these would be GREAT!
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

I've been using X7 for only about two or three months, so I'm still pretty new to the interface. I used X2 for years because it did most of what I needed -- which is post processing of photographs. But there is one area that PSP has been lagging or dragging its feet, if you will, and that is full 16-bit support. I mean, come on! I can scan at over 40 bits color depth, and PSP is still stuck at 8?

Also, I'd really like PSP to fully support Photoshop plug-ins. It's supposed to support them now, but my experience says otherwise.

I'd like to see a little more flexibility with noise/grain removal. Currently it seems like it's either too much or not enough. It's really difficult to find that middle ground.

Also, sometimes the Chromatic Aberration Removal function just doesn't get rid of the colors I target. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason why this function works sometimes and other times doesn't.

I'll probably think of more the more I use the product, but that's it for now. I'll add to my list as things occur to me.
Best,
Michael

Ideally this should be based on AutoStitch: "a new dimension in automatic image stitching" as used in Serif's PanoramaPlus and others.
Adobe Systems' Photoshop includes a tool known as Photomerge and, in the latest versions, the new Auto-Blend.

As a bonus it would be great if this feature in PSP allowed you to manipulate the resulting parts of the image as layers.
You get my vote. Wanted this for a while. I often use PhotoXhop to stitch panoramas. Keeping within PSP is more desirable.

Larger nodes on vectors. I have been asking for this since Corel took over PSP. The team may have excellent eyesight and really not listening when we older folk who have been using both PI and PSP don't see those tiny nodes. PLEASE enlarge them or at least, give the user the opportunity to increase the size like it does in PhotoImpact.

Easier HDR for a single photo-
Instead of making the user create dark and light photos to combine to HDR, why not have sliders that darken/lighten photos by a selectable range of stops?

Photo with correct exposure
Slider for brighter side
Slider for darker side
If I am really lucky maybe even a preview

Thank you!

This is possible with a raw photo - go to File/HDR/Single RAW photo. Works very nicely.

I have some wishes that shoold make my live easier :).

1. Using standard an other (Photo)printer instead of the default from windows. I have to change thius evry time I want to print photo's.
2. To change the black background collor of the full screen example (ctrl, shift,A)
3. An easier to use Gradient tool (more like Photoshop)

Ho I forgot an very imported one.

The possibility use Google/Nik plug ins without freezing the system.
To start plugins on an new layer.

I use now a script to use Silver effex pro and use on a new layer.

I wish for more focus on graphics as psp was intentionally designed for. I realize that its becoming your main photo program and you have Corel draw, but that is way too much money and at my age, just don't have the energy to relearn a whole new program. I have been using this program since 3.4 and would like to continue using it. but the grahpic functions have need to be updated.

Might seem minor, but I would like to see the group separators on the tool and menu bars a lighter color with the dark grey workspace color. As it is, you can barely see them.

The surface was clearly the best work has X2.
Nice, small icons, was not much space between them.
The X7 looks like. Two icons would fit smoothly between one another.
And the small white arrows can not do anything about it, some do not work, it can not be put under another effect.
However, it can not be removed. The x2 it could erase the small arrows. So the work surface could be refined a little.

To me PSPX5 had the nicest interface.
The Tools Toolbar was clear, it had some shading on the bar which looked nice and the icons were not too widely spaced apart.

Just a thought... Is there any way to save the workspace interface from a previous version and add it to a later version (e.g., from X5 to X7)?
