Hello,
I experience a very strange problem with ASP2. I have two Nikon D7100 .nef files (with lossless compression) that I process using ASP2.
When I add both photos to a batch queue creating a fullsize jpg file then processing simply hangs. All of my 4 CPU cores run on 100%, but processing does not terminate, even half an hour later its not done. However ASP2 is still responsive. I can eg close the program where I am asked if I want to stop the batch queue and after a while the batch job is aborted and ASP does a clean exit.
Strange is, that if I send only one of the two photos to the same jpg batch queue the jpg is created just fine. Then I select the second one and again the jpg is created. Then I again select both and send both to the batch queue and then it hangs again.
I tried another batch queue that scales the photos down to 600x400 and in this case it just works fine.
Any idea what I could do to help to get out of this unpleasant situation?
I run ASP 2.03.25 32bit on openSuSE13.1 x86_64, the hardware is a core i5 with 8GB RAM.
Thanks
Rainer
ASPLinux hangs when running batch creating jpg
Re: ASPLinux hangs when running batch creating jpg
I "solved" the problem by deleting one of the photos. Now everything seems ok. However there seems to lurk a bug around...
