ASP 2 hangs

Just started. Uploaded around 700 images and began work and ASP2 hangs/freezes. I restart the program, resume and it hangs again. I went in and divided up the file so it has around 350 images in it. Still hangs. I run Win 7 64, 12G Ram, plenty of available HD space. I love this program, but am SO disappointed. Anyone have ANY suggestions? I have tried some of the suggestions I found on the web, but they don't work. I need help. These are my daughter's wedding photos. Thanks!

Does anyone have a solution to this? I love this program, but can't use it.

I can only suggest two options that I use:-

In File Preferences
1) switch off "Create system previews" under Import and Cache
2) set "Batch Items in Flight" to 1 under Performance

Also, don't use OpenCL Hardware Acceleration
and
set all the Cache options to minimum (1, 1, 0)

- Delete the Cache.
- Use the newest drivers for your Graphiccard
