Hello Missy,
If you have downloaded to the protected folder _RESTORE (Windows XP).You have probably chosen the worst possible location to download your trial VS9 version to..
Open your My Documents folder on the desktop. Create a new folder and name it say.. Ulead9Trial..
Now you can try and copy/paste or drag/drop the downloaded zipfile or self extractor to the new folder... Better still, to be safe.. download the trial version again, only direct the download to the new folder you have just created in My Documents by browsing to.. or typing Desktop\My Documents\ Ulead9Trial into the download to window..
This should get the download safely on board.
If the file is a zipfile the icon will be portrayed as a folder with a zipper on the side of it. The Ulead self extractor is usually a Grey icon with crescent shapes on it.
If the file is a Zipped folder, then you need to open it with WinZip or PKzip or similar... if you have got one of these. (Try this site if you haven't.. http://www.freedownloadzone.com). If you already have it then select Extract to here from the context menu (When you right click the zipfile icon). The unzipped file is usually a Ulead self extracting exe, which will commence the installation upon a double click..
Good Luck
