PSP X6 Ultimate update

Post by dicandpauline »

I get the message that an update is available. When I click on that I get the message "installing the installation wizard" and then very quickly "No update of your installed software is required at this time" To add insult to injury I then get a message "installation wizard not completed. Your system has not been modified...... Fatal error during installation"
My version is 16.1.9.48 x64 Is this the latest? If not why can I not install the updates even directly from Corel.
Thanks Richard

The '1' in the second location of your version number indicates that SP1 is already installed - presumably because your installation is set to allow automatic updates.

The figure in the second location will always show your service pack level - '0' , '1', '2' etc.

Have I got the latest version then? Sorry to be a pain. I download PSPX6_SP2.exe but it never seems to get anywhere.
Thanks

In that case - no - your version should read 16.2 ## if SP2 is installed.

Just my opinion but unless you are having an issue that SP2 promises to fix, I wouldn't worry about it. My experience has been that sometimes a service pack with fix some things and break others.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed
