Shearing tearing, moving vectors and slections

Hi,
I have been having issues with some images... maybe 1500-2400 pixels wide Maybe less. When editing text it is very resistant to letting me select and for showing the results... also resistant. Often I have to give up and try another program, then cut and paste in.

Also, at times when I try to do a Paste As Selection...part of my image will disappear and I cannot see the edges to place it. Even if I paste as layer then try... the screen can be very stubborn. I am using a core 2 duo E8400 @3GHz with 4 gigs of ram and windows 7 64 bit running efficiently. Often the photos are @3872x2592 and I may have 4 or so up. On occasion I may have a stitched photo ie 4900x1951. Trying to put a title on that can be difficult and taxing.

Any thoughts? Anyone else having the same issues?

Hi, I am using Paint Shop pro X7 and have tried both the 64 and the 32 bit versions but I experience a similar problem. Mine occurs when I try to use paste as new selection. This problem might not occur the first time I try to paste but is repeatable once it occurs and does make it impossible to use the paste as new selection function for any serious work.

If required I can capture a video and upload to youtube so that you may see exactly what the problem is and how it occurs.
