Hi, hopefully the experienced people on this forum can explain something to a novice, such as myself. I've got VSx6 Ultimate Edition. I use a GoPro Hero 3 Black camera. The untampered videos from the camera, played through VSx6 look decent. But, when I try to enhance the image quality I get a lot of unwanted artifacts. For example: if I want to increase the saturation, or the tint, my image develops very strong blocky pixels. However, when using GoPro studio to do this, the image remains relatively clean, and I can get the effect far stronger. Under VSx6, I can only increase to a +4, or sometimes less, but more will yield poor video results. It doesn't matter if I am working directly with the MP4 file, or an AVI converted file.
It's kind of annoying, because of seen videos from others that don't have such an issue. Does anyone here know what the problem may be? I guess for now, I will just use the GoPro Studio software for video enhancement, and VSx6 for other editing and fx features.
