I am French and can not find a forum in my language. Can anyone answer to my problem. When I want to open a pdf with multiple pages in Corel paint shop pro x6paintshop only shows me the first page and do not see the following. Yet in rendering postsript he told me that I have a number of pages. Can you help me to solve this preferably in french.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Open PDF file
Unfortunately PSP only supports the first page of PDFs. It also only supports the first layer of a layered TIFF. And the first frame of an animated GIF.

Re: Open PDF file
Thank you for that. What is strange is that with the PSP version x2 I could see all the pages of my pdf. Not possible with this new version?

Re: Open PDF file
Several things:
1) PSP definitely can open multi-page PDF's. I just opened multi-page PDF's with both X3 and X7. I set them to 300 dpi, grayscale, no transparency, letter-size. I have Tabbed Documents set. (Menu > Windows >Tabbed Documents checked.)
2) The free program GIMP can open PDF files. Open the PDF with GIMP and then save the images from that. I sometimes find that PSP, Nuance PDF Converter Pro (see below) and even Acrobat can't open a particular PDF -- but GIMP can!
3) Nuance makes a program that is intended as a substitute for Adobe Acrobat Standard (which retails for around USD $300.) Full retail on Nuance's program is $100. They changed the name on the latest version. Earlier versions were called PDF Converter Pro. (Don't get them confused with PDF Converter or other Nuance products.) The earlier versions are often available new for as little as USD $30-35. Any version from Converter Pro 6 through Converter Pro 8 can open the PDF and export the pages as images.
Regarding 3), there are numerous programs that claim to be full replacements for Acrobat, including one from Corel, and many are a lot cheaper. The only one that really can compete is Nuance's PDF Converter Pro. (In fact, Converter Pro's Optical Character Recognition is much better than Acrobat's. I have found that often when Acrobat can't OCR or can't accurately OCR text, Converter Pro can.)

Re: Open PDF file
The last version of Nuance PDF Converter Pro was version 8.
Nuance replaced that with PowerPDF, which has a completely redesigned interface. (Although I bought a copy awhile back, I don't do much PDF work at home and Converter Pro 8 does everything I need, even under Win 10, so I haven't installed and tried PowerPDF yet.)
The latest version of PowerPDF is version 2.

Re: Open PDF file
PSP can open multipages, but the last 2 versions of PSP can't anymore. Not sure if it is a bug or a change in feature, but i can confirm that it WAS opening multipages in earlier versions.

Re: Open PDF file
I'm afraid that's not actually accurate, and that the issue is much more complicated as shown in the following thread where it was discussed in depth and thoroughly tested:Cassel wrote:PSP can open multipages, but the last 2 versions of PSP can't anymore. Briefly, Simone at Corel UK confirmed (but didn't explain why) that 64 bit versions of PSP is "limited" in its ability to open PDF multi-page files, but the 32 bit versions don't have that limitation.
Second, 32 bit versions of PSP (through X9 also) will open many multi-page PDF files quite well. However (you can read the extensive testing that was done at the above link) there seems to be problems with opening all pages with some PDF files that have been created and/or edited in programs other than Adobe Acrobat. In other words, the evidence seems to indicate that PERHAPS, if the program used to create, edit, save/export/compile to PDF does not follow strict Acrobat coding standards, then PSP 32 bit versions can have issues opening more than the first page.
Reading the above link will provide much more in-depth info about how the issue was tested and the various results people using various different PDF creators have had.
