I am trying to use PSP X6 to create a brochure with a fair amount of text, and find that the software becomes very sluggish after entering a few paragraphs of text. I then end up splitting the text into numerous layers which tend to get messy to maintain.
Also the text to be is sometime supplied by Microsoft Word users. I have found no effective way to copy and paste so end up retyping
any ideas would be welcomed

Use Guides to help in positioning your text.
Then you can split to diferent layers and it will maintain its integrity.
With word text paste it to wordpad first or even notepad so it loses most or all the formatting, then you can copy and paste just the text into the PSP doc.
If all this is unsuitable perhaps you might be better in using a dedicated publishing program as PSP is essentially a photo and graphics editing program with some text capabilities.

Thanks to all suggestions. I tried cut and paste with Word but never tried Wordpad etc.
