PSP X6 Text problem

Have obviously changed something in my settings giving me problems editing text
I set up a new layer
open the text tool
place cursor on the spot to enter my text... and the previous text I had entered is displayed. I now must delete that text to add new.
Annoying... but cant see what I am doing wrong

Easy, look up along your Text tool information line Font Size Units etc and just past the Creat as box is an almost invisible Remember Text icon. Click this to unremember your text.

I dont believe it. This just drove me nuts all day. Many Thanks....would never had seen the setting
