Cropping object from one photo to another

Cropping object from one photo to another
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to crop an object out of one photo and place it in another? Thank you!

Crop image.
Edit > Copy
go to new image and make it active
Edit > Paste as New Layer
Use move tool to move it to its final location.
Can then do a Layer > Merge> Merge All (Flatten)
