PSP X7 DOF effect Bug?
When I make a selection and want the rest of the picture to blur with the DOF effect, I run into a stupid problem. When I select feather in the preview window it selects far into the object / area that should stay sharp. To have any feather selected, and that is necessary for a natural effect, I need to expand the selection at least 20 pixels before start. That's inconvenient when I want to use the selection for other purposes after applying the DOF effect. In addition it makes the effect difficult for beginners and cumbersome for the more experienced user. Can you please fix it?

Could you take some screen shots of what you're after and post links to them? The DOF tool appears to work as I'd expect it to on my machine.

Re: PSP X7 DOF effect Bug?
As far as I'm concerned this isn't so much a bug as a request for enhancement. Unless you're saying that even at small levels the feathering is way too high on the image.
Maybe a feather inside/outside/both option. Right now it feathers on both sides I believe which would be why it's biting into the selection.
For now, save the current selection to the alpha channel of the image, expand the selection, make the DOF effect, then reload the original selection. Hassle? Slightly. But you don't have to worry about losing the selection.
