Plugin problem

Post by rickybob »

I'm having a strange problem with some third-party plugins. I get an error message to the effect that it may not be installed properly or may be missing files. Strangely my copy of OmniPage stopped working at about the same time although other programs in the package work. I have DEP turned on for X5 and X6 but it didn't have any effect. Microsoft tech support says it's not a Windows problem. Any ideas" TIA

Which version of PSP do you have? If it is a 64 bit version, are your plug-ins also 64 bit?

PSPX5 is a 32 bit program. PSPX6 has both 32 and 64 bit loaded. I can't access some of the plugins with the 32 bit version. I don't have any 64 bit plugins loaded at this time.

Lisette those DLLs aren't required for the later versions of PSP. They were used in older software.

Just saying install DLLs doesn't tell him anything.

hi ,

This error he mentions has nothing to do with the psp version, but has everyting to do with his plugins.
Older plugins made with the Filter Factory program still need a dll, even if you work in psp 16 or 17.

I solved the plugin issue. Either the DLLs weren't installed or were in the wrong folder. Anyway, everything seems to be OK now.
