Path Offset

I am trying to create a script with text along a path. I have checked the API doc and I cant find a variable for the path offset on the Text tool. How do change the offset in my script? I have tried recording with no success.

I will try using the TextEditPropertyChange command - just found it in the API

That is one value that is NOT scriptable, unfortunately. I have a couple of scripts that use that value, and i had to either ask the user to change that value manually, OR make another path at a different location to pretend it is offset.

That was several versions ago, so if it has changed, i would love to know but it might not be there. I had asked Suz Shook to look into that too, and she found the same thing: nothing.
